Post Endorphin, custom physics & animation.

If you've ever looked at endophin and played with it, you KNOW there is a crap load of physics in it. Has anyone played endorphin? If you don't know what it is, it's the industry's first Dynamic Motion Synthesis software.

At the heart of endorphin are its Adaptive Behaviours, which - unlike animation data - are completely interactive. With Adaptive Behaviours, 3D characters essentially animate themselves. Move two Football players close to each other and one will automatically tackle the other one, realistically trying to grab hold of his legs and bringing him down .

A few vids. tralier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp1stQ49Bfo

Pre-rendered tech videos are great and all, but I'll be more impressed when an actual game that uses the technology is released.

Until then, I'll remain skeptical that games will be anywhere near that kind of realism.

This is the most suggested thing on Fun-Motion... by far. Have we had about....5 endorphin suggestions by now? Search the posts before you make a thread next time, please.

Aside from that, this is a great program. I found it over 3 months ago, and I still use it. It's great fun to just mess around with. I love just brutalizing that beginning ragdoll by sending him flying off a 50-foot ladder and, then having the ladder fall on him. And then a fat guy falls on his head. Good times. Goood times... Lol.

Ive had this off and on for a good four months or so. Its freaking awesome. But for some reason, I'll delete for one reason or another, then redownload it, over and over agian.
Am I the only one saddened by Okum being a senior member in a forum?

It seems to be a great program, but the most I could do was launch a ball at the starting ragdoll, and see him go flying.

I wonder why...

Just kidding, but on another point, I recently noticed this program uses many features of 3DS Max, only in a slightly nicer presentation and more user friendly. I like this program a lot, and although I only have the eLE, it's fun enough to just mess with the tools and send some people through a rough time.

I just like having them fall annoying high distances and getting hit by lots of stuff, myself.

But exploding is nice, too.

endorphin has been used in movies mainly but there are two lucasarts games, the next indiana jones and star wars:force unleashed, that are currently being developed that use a similar system called euphoria. dmm is also being used in these two games

It's not a big thing to simulate an explosion in endorphin...
I would be happier to see some improvements in the way animations are handled (for example make them moveable, so you could make a man running on top of a moving train etc...).

btw: i'm Failed in the natural motion community...
