Simple question, good lord.
Ragdolls rarely affect gameplay these days, and the tech -is- pretty old.
Infact the only interesting ragdoll based tech I've seen recently is Matthew's own Jetpack brontosaurus animation system, and Euphoria.

Just an observation Mino, don't blow a gasket because I have an opinion :/

Ragdolls, on the whole, are old, and cannot be improved much.
I cannot open the ragdoll file, but I'm guessing it's your basic ragdoll, nothing new or improved. If it is, prove me wrong. No videos, y'see?

Ragdolls were, probably, once, a very new, exciting feature by themselves, let alone within a game.
Now, they bore us with their uses. Find something new to do with it, or some new way to use them, but don't just keep on making the same thing, just by a different person, over and over.

Minotaur, ragdolls are nothing exciting, Dru-B (excuse my lack of ..) was simply pointing that out.

Now, in advanced ragdolls in Force Unleashed and such are VERY interesting.
But that's not really ragdoll, that's Human simulation, as it simulates ( roughly ) muscles, and reaction times and balance and such.

Dru-B, I also like how the ragdolls on TFU will grab onto things.
But this isn't about TFU.

These ragdolls bring nothing new to games, and as Matthew's post says, we are looking for new ways physics can open up gameplay and game genres.
Stair Dismount is a nice example of a ragdoll game with a new twist.
I'm guessing this is not as epic as that.
