Mission Briefing : Hunt down an invisible enemy.

The Infinitum Research Intercept Squad (I.R.I.S.) is on the hunt for a fugitive, the subject of a secret genetic experiment, who is known only as Subject 617. The Good News : The IRIS team is well trained, well armed and co-ordinated.

The Bad News : The genetic manipulation has given Subject 617 enhanced speed, mobility and incredible strength - he can pounce like a tiger, cling to any surface and is known to pin victims up for feeding. Worst of all, the experiments have rendered him nearly invisible to the human eye. This is why he is simply known as ... The Hidden

The hidden has two things going for it.

1. Fucking horrible atmosphere (I swear to god the mansion level scares me witless, and I'm always the one who dies first there.)

2. Co-ordination and skill. if your an IRIS, you better be damn sure you're in a group to watch for the others, and if your the Hidden, you better be sure to watch where they are going.


The game needs Half Life 2, but in all honesty, who doesn't have that sexy game already?

The physics come into play as a hidden, who has two amazing feats to scare the IRIS members. One is grabbing a body (ragdoll) and pinning it to the wall, this is said so it can "feed" but I think its just to cause IRIS players to get scared. Secondly the Hidden can grab items around the area (such as a barrel or a lamp) and throw it around, a lamp can actually kill you, or he can use it to scare and distract you.

I have this :3 Too bad i suck at it I'm only capable of killing the Hidden if i have laser-sight (The laser stops on the Hidden, even though he's mostly invisible ) or a shotgun.

I hate this game. The Hidden is way too invisible with the water shader. I quit playing a long time ago because it's just too damned hard to play it.

What? I think it is incredibly easy to kill the hidden. Actually too easy. The hidden distorts the view. You can hear its footsteps. Laser sight stops on hidden. I play this game and haven't died in a long time. I think it is too easy.

Meh, maybe too much CS:S has gotten me paying attention to these things. I don't know. Also Crysis has also made me aware of invisible stuff.

I love the game, but it randomly crashes on me, so I've stopped for awhile until I can figure it out. Same with ZPS.

One of my favourite mods (with Zombie Panic and... Dodgeball Source ).
It's supposed to be hard to find/kill the Hidden, that's why it's one against a large team.

I have this game. There is nothing scary about it. It's really fun however to be the hidden, and Kill EVERYBODY, or throw objects at them and there all "WTF?!" While you come around behind them.

I love being the hidden, heehehe. It's freaking hilarious. For example.. Take a route that none of them go to, go behind one, easily shank him, take his body and throw it at his teammates. After screwing with them go on and shank them to death, or use a grenade. ;-)

ZPS was an epic fail. too many people with HLSS and too many servers without admins.

Too damn right, i was I.R.I.S against my mate and we were on ts, we were on derelict, i made the mistake of choosing that map because 20 mins beforehand i had shown him how to play that map perfectly, i was inside the apartmens and had sensors all around me, i forgot to look up to see if there was a hole in the ceiling, my mate started gigling i was like wat?!!11 then he stopped for 10 mins he didnt say one word, we coming close to then end of the game when suddenly my vision in front of me went blurry, i went oh f*** and got pigsticked, and started swearing non stop for 5 mins on ts. I seriously nearly wet myself, its a bit like on Alien ressurection when the zombie goes up behind the general and bites off the back of his head.

this mod is pretty good. the models look kinda dull... only thing that scares me is your avatar!!!!!

The models arent really dull, theres bump mappin on them and everythin plus its the first hl mod ive seen with dismemberment and gibbing. If they had that gore system in insurgency my god i would be in love.

I kno ive had smod since tactical came out (im a major realism fan which is also why i like physis games ) and ive been in love with it (not in a gay way!) i had a custom models for every weapon in that game with the ironsights lined up perfectly the only one i had trouble with was the ak-m4 hybrid from csbanana (now fpsbanana) because the sights were slightly goofy 5.5 of tactical is out at the moment and hes planning (phatcat creator of tactical) to release the first non beta version very soon

Nice! I don't have the tactical version though, just Smod 40. I'll have to give that one a try. (Only thing I hate about Smod is that it makes the loading take about ten times as long as it usually does)

I play SMOD: Tactical all the time. Gotta love it when you pop someone in the face and blood starts spewing out like a fountain. I love the iron sights and EOTechs on the guns. The game is insanely difficult though on the higher difficulties. But, for some reason it crashes almost all the time. It's very unstable, but is also very entertaining.

About The Hidden, that's a great mod too. It's so awesome when you're walking with one or two people and you hear that pigstick noise and turn around and see gibs on the ground. Then you're like "wtfomg we all gunna DIE" and you start shooting at anything that moves. It has it's fair share of funny moments too. Just look on the official forums.
