Hi guys, I feel I have to give you a chance to try out the incredibly fun game called "The Fight of the Sumo Hoppers" (stupid title, eh?)
It is a hilarious stickman fighting game, the keyboard controls could be a bit confusing at first, reconfigure controls to begin with. After a couple of practice sessions, you're ready to be become a sumo-hopper master! ADDED SHORT GAMEPLAY VIDEO: I managed to capture a glimpse of the gameplay here: (sorry about the bad video quality/color, one of the players are almost invisible..) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR4ZNB96tRU Sumo Hoppers: http://www.helsinki.fi/~korppi/sumo.zip The only problem with the game is, it's DOS based. HOWEVER, if you download and run this patch, in the game directory: http://www.brain.uni-freiburg.de/~kl...00/tppatch.zip - at least on my win xp system, the game will work. This is a perfect example of brilliant gameplay without the need for beautiful graphics, sound, etc. I hope somebody will get the game running, it's definately worth it! No worky for me. I ran the patch and tried to understand Dosbox, as well. I couldn't do it. How would you run it in Dosbox?

As other people, it pops up for a second and then goes away. This certainly isn't the first time a program has done that. This also occurs when I run the patch, take note I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

If you're having trouble with DOSBox, download a front-end for it. D-Fend is the best one.
http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/ Oh, and this game will forever be a classic. I don't know why they call it Sumo Hoppers, because this is obviously based on Judo, but without all the rules. |
