Howabout if you create a large block of ice, and erase a vertical line through it, it
then creates a negative pressure zone around the block, which is kinda like simulating
spherical gravity (but the "gravity" is concentrated around the north and south poles).

Since the ice cools the air around it, it makes the pressure less. It "eats" pressure.
