Default Kite Simulator

Here's my attempt at some physics programming:

Uses Verlet intregration and very simplified aero - but the results are OK. Several things worked out without special case programming. In gusty conditions, a real kite will sometimes overfly the window, slack lines and fall out of the sky. This can also happen in the simulator.

Have fun,
J.R.

It's not a very interesting or deep program.
But then again, I have no interest in flying kites, so this just doesn't appeal to me.

Very nice work!

Now, suggestion for the next project would be a R/C helicopter simulator or something like that.

You should atleast explain your stupidity and why you randomly bumped this, don't give us some bulshit "567890".

I just think we have so much in store here at FM. It's nice to find new stuff, but i'm just guessing many members are unfamiliar with our old finds. Even though we have a "shortlist".

It's maybe more a suggestion by now

E: Anybody know if there's some kind of 3rd party software or website that we could use to index games/tools/vids/apps/offtopic finds/etc..etc.. ?

Still, don't just randomly bump a thread. New members can always look back at the older threads themselves. Or the list, incomplete as it may be.

I know members can look back... some of us have been around longer than others. They can share good stuff from the past with more recent members.

And then what? We'll have new, active threads bumped down every time someone decides that more people should play Madness Interactive or Cat With Bow Golf, and we'll have people unknowingly replying to members that have long since left the forum.

And, after bumping, you will have a mod fighting with another member over something retarded. That's why you don't bump.

Who's fighting? I'm explaining to him why it's a bad idea. No need whatsoever to get insulting.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with Kite Simulator, so if you have something to add, Valpster, PM it.

There are already a handful of great R/C heli sims....would not be worth your time.
