I find it makes it really hard because the projectile does no go straight, but on an angle, so if you fire straight at something, it goes to the right of it so I find that kind of hard lol

EDIT: Okay I suppose it's not that hard lol

WHy do cannonballs fall so slowly after you hit something with them?

I just made an adjustment that may cause that. You may have found a bug? I'll have to look into it. That's why playtesting is good! If you want to find out more details (when it does / does not happen, system specs) and send them to me that would be more helpful. Thanks!

If it's doing what I think it's doing you can try downloading the playtest again. I just put up some changes that might fix what I think you're getting.

One of the level is impossible to beat... the one where you first get the catapulti keys, when you launch one into that gravity tube thing they always overshoot to keyhole, no matter what.

You know what?
I'll try to make some time to test, if you're willing to offer the opportunity.

E: But my PM's don't work.
So I guess never mind.

Look at your inventory at what might help you not overshoot it. (Note that this isn't final level flow so I may need to fix it to make it a bit more obvious. Also, in the final game you will have a few different things in your inventory by this level that would let you reach it. Right now there is just one...)

It's the little helicopter payload in the trailers. That's not in the playtest... sorry!

Playtester Cahocachi reporting for duty, sir!
I would be very glad to help!

I wanted to playtest another catapult game a long time ago (Wallbusters, maybe you know of it), but it just CTD'd on me every time I opened it, and the devs didn't know what the problem was. So... eager to try, yes

Thanks beforehand.

The game is really good, in my opinion. It's a blast to play, although, at least in the alpha, it gets boring after a while, for you can't really chose what to do next, there is always 1 new challenge available.

I really like the old-english style and the humor as well (If I had twitter, i'd tweet with that hashtag.). Although sometimes the camera controls when following the balls were a bit clunky. I click to reset my camera back to the catapult, but then it automatically shoots another ball, so I have to keep my mouse button pressed when reseting the cam.
Also, I sometimes accidentaly let go of my mouse button, so the catapult fires if I was aiming for a shot, so I suggest instead of having to keep the mouse button pressed to aim, make it aim constantly, and you just need to press the left mouse button once in order to fire a shot. The camera could be rotated without aiming if you hold down the right mouse button.

The graphics were also cool, although at some places (the geysers for example) the textures were a pretty low resolution, and you can see them pixels, maybe you could try upping the resolution of the textures of the object your camera needs to get close to. Also, when playing in fullHD, you could see the font also being a pretty low resolution, that would be nice if the resolution was increased too. (doubling the size of the font in Unity will do, I think.). But the cartoonly looking graphic style is awesome.

Overall the game was pretty good, but it could do with more choises added into it. Unlocking several missions, so you can choose which one to do,... . And some more RPG elements, but I presume most of these just weren't added to the playtest yet.

Keep up the good work, I'd love to play the finished product!

Big thanks to everyone that has given feedback so far! It will only make the final product better. It helps so much.

All the different game systems are starting to come together. I'm very excited by it all. Lots of polishing to do now that the holidays are over. Resuming 24/7 crunch mode!

Hi fellas.

I've got a new logo and an updated website and I made a new blog post talking about the fishing system in the game.
http://www.catapultforhire.com/dev/2...n-fishing.html

Thanks again for all the feedback and testing. I really took Citrial's notes to heart. I've made some big changes to how the game plays out so it's less linear. Now the levels unfold based on what the player does.

Things are changing fast and getting better every day!
