I haven't been able to play yet, is it any good? I tried searching for some videos on Youtube, but the only video I found was of some kid recording it with a P.O.S. camera. :(

This game was nothing short of abysmal. I mean, is there any point at all? It's not even fun. However I dont have the full game so my opinions are based on the (stupidly short) demo level.

Sadly, I have to agree. It was boring for me and physics were non-existant or at least not done well. And from looking at that video, it looks slow and boring. Just my opinion.

Terrible game. It has physics after destruction but lacks any physics thereafter. Also, WildTangent is spyware, despite their message guaranteeing no spyware. Lol.

If you've seen the video of the talk that Matthew gave, you'll be familiar with his definition of what makes a "physics game":

A game where the player primarily interacts with the mechanics of a complex physics system, one in which a player must use physical intuition to assess the state of game objects.

Now Matthew isn't a deity whose very words are to be worshipped, but I think you're going to be hard-pressed to get a better definition of a physics game. The two stand-out parts of that definition, in my opinion, are "interacts with the mechanics" and "must use physical intuition". First, you have to be actively manipulating things physically -- this means that the physics aren't just what you're passively experiencing. Second (and Matthew said this a lot better than I can) your interaction is dependent on the state of the environment and/or your own avatar, so you have to figure out what the result of your mouse-clicks and keystrokes will be because you may not get the same results every time.

Working from that point of view... Tornado Jockey is a game with physics, but not a physics game. You point and click, and you move where you click. If you have an item saved up, you can click to use it. It's a decently fun game, but not a physics game.

I'll leave this thread open for debate purposes, so long as it stays civil.
