I re-downloaded sumotori, and when I clicked on the icon, AVG said it found a virus. Look at the comments on the bottom of here also http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/t-online.hu?ref=safesearch&aff_id=0

Bah, Anti-viruses. You fools I am my own anti-virus. Yes that is right. DOS and me equals anti-virus. But no seriously Sumotori isn't a virus, unless you didn't download Sumotori from the official site.

My AVG (free version),ZoneAlarm and Spybot say Sumotori is 100% healthy ;)
For a small file like this, it's easy to be fooled and download a fake virus/trojan etc file. Just like edthefirst mentioned, download it from the official site in case you didn't. If you have the 'official' file, it's over my powers to understand what's wrong

I use avast! Because my free AVG ran out... Anyway, AVG occasionally mistakes certain programs with virus's.

AVG is the best FREE antivirus though, so dont knock it.
I myself am a computer tech and use it on customers machines all the time when they cant afford a good AV.
Also i scanned sumo, no virus. You sure you got it from the right site?

Yeah, I'm starting to doubt the credibility of his download site. It's easy to get a trojan in as a 96k file.
<Offtopic> Have you heard on the Stmotori page they are working to get a moddable version out in the next release. That is going to be sweet.

I downloaded the game twice and never had any problems with it. Sometimes anti-virus programs give false alerts.

The reason why some antiviruses see it as a virus is because the creator used some thingy to make it so small, and some antiviruses recognize it as a virus.

Personally, I hate Anti-Virus software. I haven't used anything since I was like ten, when I didn't have my own computer, and my mom thought it would help. In the years since then, I've never had a virus. Why, you may ask? Because I am an intelligent PC user, as are most of us on this forum.

Having Anti-Virus software eats up a bunch of system resources. Just be careful about what you click on and you don't need it.

I had a virus in which it pretended to be AVG.
I couldn't execute any programs at all.
My father was able to work it out (thankfully).

I love the popup which pretends to be a Windows XP window, which says you have viruses, and gives you a download link to "virus protection" software. :p

Just use Avast. It doesn't suck it up too bad. Also, being an intelligent PC user doesn't do all that much to help you. Download spybot, and scan your system. You'll have malware, I promise.

Locking thread because holy dicks what a bump.
Also, I use avast because, despite being tech savvy, I get my obscure porn from untrustworthy places.
