I just bought Trackmania United from the special offer. It's great.
I created this thread to talk about the whole TM saga. Original, Sunrise, Nations, its update and United.

Here we can post our names to compete online, or share tracks, replays and thingies, or just talk about it.

Used to play Nations a lot. But then it only got to abusing the engine's flaws and using shortcuts to get ahead, or using a PS2 controller,...I can still get first if no-one like Wolf (can't remember the exact name =\) or someone is on.

Played in Romanian servers, was part of Mafia, the clan, and...name was...uh...Toma...I *think*...

My head exploded when you said that. I used to play Stunts on my uncle's computer back in, I dunno, third grade? Though I'm sure it hasn't held up well over time, it sure did get me interested in driving games (which, in turn, led to being interested in how the game modeled the real experience).

Trackmania stuff is definitely in my "pile of shame", the games that I haven't played but want to at some point in the future. Hopefully it won't be too long before I can share some impressions.

i got nations, and that game was seriously my addiction in a phase of my life, its just so much pwnage. I got United through questionable means, and the game was fantastic on single player, i couldnt play multiplayer, so the appeal didn't last, i still might end up getting the legit thing though, trackmania is just kickass.

Stunts is indeed a brilliant game, that still hasn't been surpassed by recent games in terms of fun. The remake was very poorly designed and failed to capture the essence of the original game, and all the other games of the kind may be good, but can't be compared to Stunts, because the charm just isn't there.

Well, umm... You just open them all in the same time...? Sorry, I'm not the best one to explain it.

If you use that method, there will be another problem. Every car (or replay) disappears when the first one crosses the finish line. Halp?

I think I had Trackmania Nations a year ago or so. It's cool. I love making your own racing tracks.

Trackmania nations was cool, but it got quite repetitive, even online. Sunrise and the others look cool because they have terrain and trees and stuff.
