Hm, is this new? I've never heard of it before. As for the reg key, I don't really want to do that at the moment, I'm sure someone else can though.

I've done the whole LE registration about.......... three times now, maybe more... It always works, must be a server down, try again later or use a different browser.

It worked for me when I tried it. Your not really missing out, as it is freeking hard to use.

ya mate, it's always worked for me too and i've done it maybe 3 or 4 times.
And if you ask me, it's REALLY easy to use, quite contrary to Relys' opinion

No, it's not that hard at all. Just watch the tutorials on their website and start of simple, you'll pick up new techniques and stuff as you go along. But this is not a game, it's part of a package for programers and animators, so don't go thinking it's gonna be all user friendly.

Hard, this thing is the easiest thing ever. Give the guy the stumble behaviour then push him. Simple.

Yeah, but you'll want to make much more complicated scenes when that gets boring, which it does... quite quickly.

The problem was already fixed, I think.

ok. I actually find this alot more user-friendly than other animation programs, even blender. probably due to the fact that this simulates the guy intead of you having to animate him in detail

What's blender like to use? I saw it simulate water and softbodies but it looked quite complicated... Is it ok?

With Endorphin you can make the guy to fall in less than 5 minutes without reading any tutorials. In blender you have to read tutorials to move the camera.
So Blender is VERY hard at first. I've made some fluidvideos with it, I have deleted them though.

Is that the only thing it does, fluid videos and softbodys? I might give it a go anyway, I do have qiute alot of free time anyway...

No, it's a 3D program, like 3dsmax. Yeah you should try it if you have time, it's fun to play with the fluid physics. The rendering takes WAY too much time though. I have never seen any other program render so slowly.

How slow are we talking, here? Say I wanted to fill a glass of water, for example, how long would that take to render?

tried it, didn't go too well. I think your talking weeks on a single comptuer, days on a cluster render maybe,

No way! That is such a joke, I am steering well clear of that, then...
It was just like the PAM-CRAS2G thing: "can render a whole crash simulation overnight" ....... and I thought that was bad....

If the glass looks like.. well, glass, and water looks like water and there's shadows and stuff, it can easily take up to 10 hours.
With the glass and the water just having a blank grey texture, rendering would take something like 2 hours

Wow, that is amazing... And those times, measured on a good computer, right? Geez I had no idea...

Blender is extremely advanced in it's render quality. It really compares to none. Check out some of the videos on YouTube of it. Plus it's free. I even use it, but it takes REALLY awfully long to learn. I read a 32 page or something tutorial on their Wiki just to learn how to do the simplest of things..

Yeah, I've watched the youtube videos and some were very impressive ineed! I wondered why the videos were so short, now I know. ;)

I just might give this a try...

??? Just what are you talking 'bout?? IMO render quality in Cinema 4d and 3dsmax is much better. And they are more fun (easier) to use too. Such a shame both of them cost money.

I guess I should have said in it's class (freeware).

Well incase we're talking about freeware, you are right. And to be honest, I don't even know any other freeware 3D modelling program besides blender and anim8tor :D
