Didnt you say you wanted something like Pixel Junk Shooter?

yeah some cross between pixel junk shooter and polluted planet. I think I will develop most gameplay concepts as I continue to work on it
here is an image of my new water particles:

Shouldnt the rock be more solid? Not, completely solid but... When you move one part, it should bring at least a radius of 10 or so particles a bit into the air before breakin into smaller parts because of forces acting on the bits on the outside
It acts way too much like simple goo atm

thanks for the suggestion treacle. it has almost no surface tension at the moment so maybe I should add some? and its kinda hard to simulate rocks with a fluid engine if you know what I mean

Yeh i kno what you mean, most people just use fully solid stuff for rock.. But for what you want, that wouldnt work too good...

well I guess I could make rock solid but then it would start to look more and more like pixel junk shooter

and how they shoot. hes shooting at my mouse
http://nathansfiles.synthasite.com/resources/lava%20guy%20shoot.png
you kill them by drowning them with water

thanks... so I need some feedback about controlls. would yall prefer a mouse only system to control a ship that only shoots forward and moves forward.. the mouse would rotate it... or maybe a ship that you use the arrow keys to move around and the mouse to aim a turret and fire with?

Id rather use a mouse for rotating it, and maybe right click would be to go in the direction your pointing at, i like using mouse's for games but that's just my opinion.
Oh and you should make it so when rock is in the lava for too long, it will melt.

hmm well I dont think the rock melting is going to happen soon since I dont have enough time right now but maybe after a few releases...
and I got the mouse controls done :)

I think the rock should weigh a bit more than it does atm (And still needs to be more solid, which will probably be quite hard to do) And how is it that its controlled now?

well as a matter of fact, I just made it weigh less because its easier to dig around in but not too easy. and it can be either in its current state or completely solid and 'nailled' to the background like in pixel junk shooter.. personally I like it how it is.
