Armadillo Run is a physics-based puzzle game. You have to build structures with the purpose of getting an armadillo to a certain point in space. There is a selection of building materials, each with different properties, which can be combined to form almost anything. The realistic physics simulation gives you the freedom to solve each level in many different ways.We all know that, but its the editor wich is fun!

I bet you all know about this game, and for those who bought it. What kind of stuff do you like to make with the editor?
I really like to experiment with Vehicles. Doing crash test and stuff, to se how the car handles the impact.

I would say so, I play with it at least a few good hours a month, experimenting is literally endless, worth the buy.

Stigern: Can you email me some of your best experiments? I'd love to use them as an example in my physics game talk at GDC.

Well, you just start a new level in the editor, and there you can experiment freely!

It's so darn fun to mess around with rockets and stuff.
Matt: Would it be ok if I emailed you some of my experiments?

This was one of those rare games where, once I'd started playing it, I spent every bit of free time I had on working my way through it. Fantastic game. I admit I did get sick of it eventually, but only through overplaying it, to a ridiculous extent. Still, I stuck with it long enough to find solutions even to a bunch of those seemingly impossible extra levels, and a few downloaded level packs. Definitely got my money's worth out of this one.
this is awesome! i made a flying tank with rocketlaunchers with this...

yeah, it's fun to mess around... *sent that email of a few of his experiments*

i was trying to make it to use the armadillo as a wheel, but it didnt work out fine... nice idea though  :p

Its called Warez, Highly illegal in many countries but still widely popular for people who dont have credit cards and/or Pay Pal
have anyone tried to make a vehicle drive uphill without rockets? its called the force or something like that.

i added tension to some of the rubber for greater effect.
(this car is very heavy, but its possible to make it drive on very steep and bumpy terrain.

Yeah, I have a hillclimber vehicle.
Its quite the good climber, and I made the wheels very effective, almost perfect circle.

Thought so, this game is copy-righted making the penalty huge.

I tried some new Suspension system for Vehicles, it handles bumps and such very good.

Sorry guys, i have tried and tried to look for the AR thread to no avail, so I decided to make ANOTHER topic to present my levels. I know some of you will get pissed, but I worked my ass off for these levels and if I dont share them, they will go to waste. Flame me all you want but after this I am really gone from this site.
Feedback would be great...

I got it, its not that good. You get to a level you cant do. Try it and try it for really long. And go off the game. And making custom cars really doesnt have any effect on me. Its like. Ok, i made a car. Now what. Drive it down a hill. Umm ok. Slightly fun.
All im saying is. Its not as good as it looks on the tin.

You're talking about it like your opinion is fact.
All I'm saying is, you might not like it, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game.

Armadillo Run version 2 available for beta testing 19th August 2009
Version 2 of Armadillo Run is now available for beta testing. The physics simulation rules have been modified to fix the 'dark force' bugs, which previously allowed energy to be created from certain configurations of objects. The friction and air resistance of objects have also been modified to capture more realistic behaviour. The version 2 beta release is available to all existing customers from the download/registration link in your purchase confirmation email. You can also get to your download/registration page from here by entering your current registration code or the email address originally used to purchase Armadillo Run. If anyone has any comments about the new simulation rules please let me know so I can incorporate any changes ahead of the official release."

I hate how I don't have my original copy anymore now... :(
But I guess they just updated the physics engine, it isn't a whole other game, I can wait. :\

Yeah, physics are slightly different, that seems to be about it. We can now add multiple armadillos and portals in custom levels. Otherwise the beta is just the origional game with these changes.
