"Zeno Clash is an action/fighting game set in a punk fantasy world. The game is played from a first person perspective and the combat is generally up close and brutal."

The game Zeno Clash is currently being made by the indie game company Ace Games and will be using the Half life 2: Episode 2 engine, I only discovered this game today and it looks great!
It looks like it will have good gameplay and nice graphics.

I learned about this almost a year ago, but the updates were not so often, so i had a bad feeling about it (and generally the games that look... different) that will be vaporware or something. But the company already found publishers before a couple of weeks, so no need to worry about that...

Plus it's powered by Source engine. Quite old some might say, but still quite... perfect ;)
Well, it might get on Steam too. Time will tell...

Hey guys,

I just had the chance to play a 3-level press demo, and it's awesome!

There are a couple of moves, and some moves that weren't taught in the demo.

There's your standard 3-punch attack, then you've got your slow, strong attack. When your enemy is stunned, walk up to them and throw them against another enemy or bash their heads in.

Fights take a while, since even the weaker enemies have a lot of health.

There are a few guns, like the crossbow and the fish guns.

I asked the guys about it, and though it is made with source, there's no editor available. Though he did say that if there was enough demand they'd release some editors. START DEMANDING!


All in all, EFFIN' AWESOME GAME BRO!

Looks nice.
There're some graphical things that are just kinda weird though. Like, the girl's hair just seems terribly out of place in that world...and her shoulders weird me out.
Other than that, it really is a nice looking game.

Tbh, your better off waiting for a pack lol... I bought L4D when it was half price (It wasnt on the Valve Full pack at the time) and then 2 days later when i bought the pack it included L4D as well (£15 pretty much wasted)

I don't think that Zeno Clash will be in a pack.. its an indie game, so its awesome, $14,99 is a cheap price for an unbelievable polished game like this one

In the demo, I came across Oxamater, yet I didn't know it was a person, rather just a statue. A cutscene played where Gat was all like, "It's...oxamater!Kak!" and I was all like, "whoah dude, who's oxamater, maaan?" then lafe was like, "lol thts fnny ll!!!"

I'm really interested in this too. If it had reversals/counters or even environment based attacks (i.e. slamming someones face into a wall) I'd probably think about getting this game near release, otherwise I may just wait a while.

Well, it's rather interesting. You can't throw an endless amount of punches because you have a stamina meter. You can throw a quick punch with mouse1, and if you keep pressing mouse1 you can do a three-attack combo. It takes time though, and a strong punch is much more powerful.

If you stun an enemy(strong punch does it with one hit), then you can approach them and either punch 'em, or crush their face and throw them in a direction. Enemies have a TON of health, though, so be prepared for a fight.


You can also get some guns. A gun I found in the demo were the fishing hook guns. They had about 5 shots before being reloaded, and they weren't very powerful.

Enemies usually attack in groups, and almost all of them have a very high amount of health. Each enemy is detailed and I believe none of them are re-used, but then again I've only played 3 random levels.

Really fun, can't wait to see what survival mode looks like. A+!

Preety fun,but it sure gots a scary atmosphere and it will scare you sometimes if you do the wrong thing,i experienced it

Good gosh, just bought it today, and whoaoho! Best forking hand-to-hand combat i've ever played. Especially them strong punches are sweet. It's like, BOOM! You're stunned, biosh. And while they're stunned, you can uppercut them. Or grab them and either:
1. Knee their faces in.
2. Throw them away.
3. Throw them away after you've kneed their faces in.
I also love doing a dodge-attack, where you dodge the enemies swing, and promptly follow up with either a hook or a seriously evil straight punch to their face, the latter i suspect being a strong punch. I love the durability of the enemies too, as it allows for even more asskicking. Or facepunching. Or kneeing.
I have to admit though, it's pretty hard, even on the easiest setting. If you mess up, you'll end up taking several punches, and get hurt. While i haven't been killed yet, i've been far too close for my own liking. And that's on the easy setting, called Normal.

Even though i haven't actually gotten very far, i can say that i'm going to enjoy this game, a lot. :D

I found Condemned 2's melee experience much more satisfying and unique. This game doesn't have enough attacks in my opinion.
That said I'm enjoying it.

But alas, not physics based. Therefore it must be locked.
