Hi, I have lurked around here for some time playing all of the games that you guys post all the time. this is my first actual post so hopefully you guys like the game. The game is called skies and can be downloaded here"

As I said these guys also made TSS Demo, the fun little game where you drive around, drift, and hit pedestrians while being chased by a naked lady.
Anyways back to the game. It is an online multiplayer game in its Beta stage I believe. And in the game you basically fly around and kill people, I have yet to play anyone because the game was empty when I downloaded it just now but hopefully people from here can get a server going and we can play each other. The game features destructible planes from what I played by myself and it has pretty decent graphics to boot. Hope you like it

After actually playing it with somebody we found that there are objectives to pick up and that two peple can be in each plane, one person flying, and another person being gunner.
We should try and get a lot of people in there, it will be like crimson skies.
If you create a room make it open and something with fun motion in the title so people know.

sorry about the double posting.
In response to your questions you do not fly around a room, There is a group of tropical islands with two different air strips and then objective points spread around it.
edit: yeah I just played ramjets and Skies is definitely not the same game. Skies has much more updated graphics, online multiplayer with a co-op kind of aspect, and I think controls much better.

I think at one point we had six guys on there, it was pretty fun but I want to play with like twenty people. I had the room open and called fun-motion but it is only open when I am playing so if it is not there create one yourself and have at it, it usually take a couple minutes for other people to join you room.
the damage in this game is unreal. I had my rudder shot off and I had no control over elevation, it was funny.

i tried, i meet minimum specs, but as soon as i started, it encountered an error and needed to close. I toned down settings. Nope. :mad: :mad: I HATE THAT! IT GETS ME SO FRUSTRATED!

(small note: dit you noticed how the gunner is sitting in the plane?)

the game has nice crashing physics etc :P just played it with a guy from F-m,at the end, he shot the objective away, it was fun :D

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that there's no fix for my problem. Just let me know if i'm right.
PS:anti-flame shields are only useful for a max of five flamings.

You can play with the mouse, it's an option in settings. (I use it).
Also, I don't have my server up any more, I told everyone not to leave while I was gone for 30 minutes...I came back and there was only one person in it. I might have it up later, PM me if you really want it up sometime that I don't have it up.

yeah sorry about that, my computer had to do some updating, but it back up and running right now, I will try and keep it up for as long as I can.

I am sorry that the fun-motion server is no longer available, I have been out of my apartment since last night so my computer must have done something during last night and now. I wont be back home until around eight tonight so if somebody else wants to create a server they are more than welcome to.

that's strange i was just playing as a gunner in okum's plane when suddenly my pc restarted, and when my pc was restarted there were no mere servers on.

This often happens to people, I have a recommendation, since you're on a computer, you could access it! All you have to do is download this free program called VNC (The free version! Not the one you pay for) and get it set up on your computer, the only problem you might have is it to actually shut down, and then not come back up, you could set it to automatically log you in in case it restarts, and you could have a backup power generator for a power problem. And to top it all off, it would be wise to get Linux, because Linux can stay up for ever, my friends server has been up for 60 days without crashing once.

Sorry for double post, but this should fix a lot of people's problems.
Allright, for those of you with routers(like me):
If you're hosting from inside the game (NOT Server.exe) there are two instances of Skies using port UDP:1896
If you are using a dedicated server, Skies uses port UDP:720
Not sure about joining a game though...
TO SET IT UP SO YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE:
1)Find your router on this list. (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm) For example: I have a Netgear RP614v4.
2)Click on your router in the list. Up comes a bunch of games. Skies isn't on there (surprise!) Now what?
3)Click on a random game like Colin McRae's DiRT. Follow the instructions, but IGNORE THE SPECIFICS AT THE BOTTOM!
4)Instead of writing (in my example) "CMDirt1" as the service name, write "Skies1" if you're playing from in-game or "SkiesServer1" if you will host a dedicated server.
5)Keep Service type the same, or change it to UDP if you can.
6)Set "Starting Port" AND "Ending Port" to 1896 if you're playing from in-game, or set them to 720 if you will use Server.exe.
7)"Server IP Address" should be set to whatever YOUR COMPUTER'S ROUTER IP is. To find this, just start up Server.exe and copy the numbers after "Hosting game at" and before the ":" sign. For example, mine is "192.168.1.2"
I followed these directions and it should work. If it still doesn't work, try changing the ports to 6789.
NOTE FOR DEDICATED SERVER PEOPLE WITH ROUTER: You cannot host a game because only people inside your network can play. Sorry. It might be possible to set your "outside IP" (AKA the one you would have without the router) in your settings.script, so try that.
