I stick with my ideas that I posted in the other sextillion threads that want Fun-Motion to be better:
Fun-motion is perfect; It does what it was meant to do and has no flaws in structure or design.
Members are the true problem. All of the people who want to enjoy this forum and have a shred of maturity wouldn't flame, spam, argue, or be total "dicks". It's people with the mind of a 3 year-old who start saying "LOLOL U sux n00b, u forgoted ur link and pics, Edit: Teh gaem sux, y uld u poast it hear?"

and im a victim,i started a thread on ragdolls and got flamed like napalm on a vietcong just because of a stupid grammar thingy.why the fuck would grammar be so important,its not a best talker forum its about physics.who cares if i talk like shit man it wont change anything about physics as i know!i just wanted to start my first thread after passing at least 1 year cheking threads and testing games on this forum and thats how i got accepted.....flamed,banned for a month and talkshitted....anyway that may be off topic but i wanted to talk someplace safe because i bet im gonna get banned again if i talk some place else.

I personally don't care about capitalization or stuff like that. But at least spell correctly and use punctuation. Pret.sal doesn't capitalize but he at least spells his words right and tells us when a sentence ends.

See. That is what I don't like. One huge run on sentence. Just put a period after every thought. I bolded and underlined where periods should go. It's really not that hard. This isn't AIM, try and use punctuation.

Grammar is important because it means we can clearly read and see what you're talking about. I can't understand half the shit a person who types in numbers says, so I ask them to stop it. Plus, it makes you look immature.

While I can't talk for whoever banned him, Shelly got what was coming to him, his thread titles had nothing to do with the game he was talking about, most of the games he posted were already reposted, and he was a smiley spammer (though thats a personal problem)

YOU got banned because YOU insulted Mathew for being "English" and calling him a stupid man for making up the golden rule. You also said "fuck this forum" called grammar stupid (though if you tried to write a resume with you're grammar you'd just get shot out.) and quite frankly, I think your a douche bag.



Anyways, the problem may not be that the forum has bad apples (it does have those sour people, though) its that we gang up too much on the first posters and such. Hell, I got pissed off at Shelly because his first 9 posts were nothing but reposts of games. Besides that, we need to make sure that people USE the search button, also, a grammar test wouldn't hurt.

ps2. punctuation is something anybody should be capable of.. no matter where ur from. read your own text before posting, make it so that not only you, but others understand it aswell. Look at it as if through the reader's eyes.

Look at the dates above the posts. A general rule of thumb to go by is, if it's not on the first page anymore, only bump it for news/updates.

I think that there are a couple members here who have superiority complexes, almost like they have a vast knowledge of games because they have been here longer. I have been coming to this forum for more than a year, I just chose not to join. I have played just about every fun game on here.

Yesterday I finally decided to join and post a thread about a game I found. I did a search for the game before I even registered and found no threads for it so I took a chance. The first reply to my thread, which occured approximately one minute after making the thread was a guy telling me it was a repost and I should do a search next time.

My only advice is to actually look at a game and play it before you respond to a thread, unless you are certain it is a repost try it out, and if it turns out to be a repost, provide a link to the thread so the original poster can see it.

I have almost the same oppinion to this. I think this place is a great source to physicsgames and such. but i do not think its funny/entertaining to write and enjoy myself here.

Also. i can see why baab32 thinks the seniors are being in charge and such.
But i kinda think that's okay. afterall they do have more experience here. (and possibly in fora in general)

I just think a few people have become real pyromaniacs. Im not pissed of. just annoyed. :/

I agree with Al. Yeah, I've fired a few incendiary rounds myself, and sometimes unjustifiably. I think it's because I *have* been to so many fora, playing the role of the nonconfrontational guy, that I find myself blowing up more often here. It's an ego thing, and I try to work on it.

Now, the French part is no problem, I wouldn't mind it if you said that when you first came here, but you would never understand grammar (not spelling) and grammar is in just about every language ever. I could see the spelling enough wrong and such, but you SHOULD CAPITALIZE PLACES SUCH AS QUEBEC AND ENGLISH.

Turns out it was a repost, but can you blame me? The thread had NOTHING to do with that game and he was a crappy poster.

The bottom line for the flamers should be to not go off on a spree when there is a repost and check to see if the thread that was posted before

If the past thread turned into a flame war

Agreed. Perfect grammar isn't a "must". It's just more enjoyable to read a text with proper grammar, words etc.
I believe I have a lot of grammar mistakes in my posts, since English isn't my primary language, and I WANT people to point out my mistakes so I can learn to avoid them in advance.

As others have said, people just need to be less up tight. Half of the threads I have to lock are done so because users trying to PREVENT a bad thread from sprouting up, and henceforth get into arguments about the "badness" of a thread, making it bad. The single greatest thing people could do for Fun-Motion is exhibit a little more apathy, in my opinion.

I'm so glad I'm home.

School wasn't that bad today, though it sucked I had detention because I was late. Some guys from school threw me on the ground at the busstop. They dragged me through some poo.. so I had to go back to get other clothes. I still smelled poo after I changed and found the cause in my hair, neck and behind my ears. I quickly wiped the most of it and sprayed some of my dad's deodorant. I tried to explain to my teacher.. useless effort from the start.. ever since my dad yelled at her, something bout her vagina being a powdergame... I hate it when he's sober...
