Me and my uncomputery friend are planning an online flash game
The concept is this:

NUN ARENA
imagine realtime hugely multiplayer worms with physically enabled very unstable nuns.
a nun with a big enough gun will knock itself over and roll about on the floor until it rights itself

Physics:
Softbody, physically enabled nuns with physical weapons and water physics and any other goodies we can slip in.

I think this might be too much for flash to handle so a small downloadable game (think soldat or toribash) will suffice

I will supply the art and my friend will supply the ideas

I'm determined for this to be freeware so unfortunately I can't offer any incentive.

If anyone's interested I'll give more details

this is the nun, it came first so apart from the odd tweak, it stays as it is

I'd use XNA and get kotsoft to give you some advice. Those are both fields he seems to specialize in.

Maltor124 speaks the truth. Xna's great for game creation. Makes me wish I had windows for my Mac. :(

Unless you had parallels you cant get windows for mac...
I would suggest learning something that can do multiplatform
cause then everyone can enjoy your game

I agree, but the percentage of non windows users is unfortunately so small that I'm not sure it's worth too much hassle

I'll try though

any other idea apart from XNA?

I guess if you really want to use flash you could especially with all the new amazing stuff people are doing with actionscript 3. :)

The Mac uses should know their Macs aren't for games, so it's not your fault. I recommend not making it for Mac.

How about BlitzMax? Its CrossPlatform so you would just need someone else to slightly change your source code and compile it on a Mac... You could use Farseer for everything but the soft bodys, Unless you found a way to make them urself on there

Yeah, BlitzMax rocks.

But there's another problem about XNA: It needs Pixel Shader, and I (and a lot of people) doesn't own a 3D Card :/

If you've never made a game before I don't suggest trying to make it online.
