All I can say is what Matt wants he gets. None of us moderators have a say in what he does to the forum. I seriously doubt this poll will attain results. You could use this to back an email you send to him, if you're dead-set on it, though. Use it to the same purpose as a petition.

This question has been passed on for generations in this forum. Not that I don't want an off-topic forum, but we've been through this for a long time. If Matt thinks (or at least approves, like Maltor124 said) that there should be an off-topic forum, he'll do it. When I posted about the same thing, people kept bouncing off the walls, saying "It doesn't need an off-topic forum!" or "It seriously needs an off-topic forum!" If there is going to be an off-topic forum, it sure as hell won't be in a while.

It's been rejected, like, 5 times already, though, so I wouldn't count on it. ;)

I would like an off-topic so I could talk to some of the members here about other things.
But lets get one thing straight. This is Matt's forum, he is the owner of this "house." The mods are somewhat like servants. Members (like you and me) are practically guests.
So, here's the question:
How would YOU like it if a bunch of people stormed into your house devoted to physics and said "HEY YOU! MAKE US AN OFF-TOPIC ROOM!" and this went on for months. How would this make you feel?
The answer is:
Not very happy. You'd want to throw all of those unthankful naggers out of your house, wouldn't you?

If Matt wants to make an off-topic room... er... forum it's his choice! We shouldn't be whining and nagging when theres a brilliant forum allready here!

We don't need a freaking off-topic forum. We have the ICQ chat for that. If you really wanted to have a forum for off-topic crap, there are hundreds of sites for that. This is a forum for physics based games not about Brawl, how you kicked someone's ass in school, how you had h4rdc0r3 secks with your lady. Matt made this forum for people to talk about the games he posts in his blog.

If he does however, put a new forum in, I won't care one way or another. As long as it doesn't count towards your post count.

I think Maltor (I'm lazy) or some one from this site willing should make a forum just for us Fun-Motion members to be off-topic. That way people who only want to talk about physics and games wont be bothered with the random spammers and we the spammers have a place to chat about poop.

Well, moderators don't have that power. As I already said, it's Matt's decision. Getting the community to support it will do nothing unless you bring it as a case to him. Otherwise this is all moot, just like every other "We need and Off-Topic Forum" thread is.

An Off-Topic section isn't a Spam section. A Spam section is a Spam section. I thought an Off-Topic section would contain posts not about physics games like posts about non-physics games and topics about things people just want to talk about in general. If this Off-Topic section is just going to be a garbage can for spam I completely disagree with its implementation.

I would never use the O-T section. Invited like 10 user on steam from the F-M group and it was a fucking chaos some spamming and others sendung youtube vids all the time :confused:
