I was wondering if you knew of any physics based game that includes psychokinesis/telekinesis. Cellfactor is a good example but i want more... heck.. even a tech demo where you can make rigid bodies rotate around the mouse or push them away like a wave or something will do too.

I just want to see something where you can use those kind of effects on physics objects.:)

There is a game called psi-ops for the PS2 that is really fun and is completely based around psychic powers.

Just google it or go to gamespot for reviews and stuff.

Yeah, I bought this game and I loved it. I spent hours messing around in the training room with all the physical objects and ragdolls.

:D

There was this game called Second-Sight, but it wasn't very great. The best thing probably is Psi-Ops. Oblivion had a telekinesis spell though.

Well not really these things, but there's physics, and the physgun is pretty much like psychokinesis: you can grab something, rotate it, throw it, freeze it in the air, or just drag it around.

Yeah, i have heard about all these before, and ive played second sight and DAH before too. But are there any for the pc? Also, i have garry's mod (still 9, dun have a credit card to buy 10 :( ) and the gravity gun is kinda psychic but i want to be able to lift more things at once, maybe shockwave them outwards, spin lost of stuff around simultaneously and stuff like that.

One problem with that. The download's down. But I suppose it could be somewhere else.

Anyways, Psi-Ops sounds interesting. I'll look it up.

Oblivions telekinesis didn't work on corpses though, at least I didn't think so. Also, I enjoyed Second-Sight because I thought it had good gameplay and physics an was worth my money, a good $20, a while ago. Never played Psi-ops though...

I hate to be peddling Dark Messiah: Might and Magic so much (It's not exactly my favorite game), but it does have a spell that allows you to pick up objects from a distance; you can even pick up enemies when you have enough power in your adrenaline bar.

Psi-Ops is the best out of all psychic power games. I played it today after dusting the dust off cause i haven't touched my PS2 in a while. It was much better than I remembered and also this forum making me completely addicted to physics.

There was a game developped with HL2 engine which is available on steem. You control a girl in a fantasy environnement, and your only weapons are telekinesis and later shockwave. I can't say much as I haven't played that game. I don't remember the name yet, but I'll seek for it and edit my post. (sorry for posting for nothing, but just wanted to let you know it exists)

EDIT : okay, found it : it's called Eclipse and it's a mod for HL2 which was developed by students.

erm.. sorry for double posting.

Now i have tried Eclipse and its really good for a mod. Im ablout halfway in it so i havent gotten all the powers yet but its still pretty cool. The only sad thing is when you lift something up into the air, it stays at that exact point until you toss it, but hey, telekinesis is telekinesis :D

also that might change since im not done yet...

EDIT: Okay, it was a very VERY short game, almost not worth the try. Another thing is i dont see where you got that shockwave idea from, you never got any shockwave in the game, just the normal lift and throw.

You should be more polite, or at least say the reason for saying such a stupid thing being NOT a stupid.

Mmh, sorry, I didn't test it myself as I don't own HL2. As for the shockwave thing, I remember they said something about another power you had in the game.

As you journey through the different lands of Eclipse , you will uncover many secrets that will help you in defeating your enemies. You will also be able to unlock new abilities that Violet can use, such as Hellstorm - a powerful spell that allows Violet to summon up to three fiery orbs that explode upon impact and deal significant damage to nearby enemies.

And yes, if it is very short, well I didn't sell it to you as a full blown complete game.... remember it's just a student project ! Btw I was just suggesting.

Yeah, thanks for that. It was much better than it could have been... I imagine it would have sucked even more if the the telekinesis lift-and-throw thingy was animated rather than dynamic.

Now ive found out that the new game called S.T.A.L.K.E.R : Shadow of Chernobyl contains telekinesis, and also gravity manipulating weapons/gadgets, wich i figure looks alot like telekinesis too. So, im getting it to see if its as good as i hope :)

System Shock 2 had the psi-orb, which allows you to use your mind to manipulate objects in the real world. In short, you get pyrokinesis, and telekinesis, although the physics are about equivalent to hl1
This is good considering the game was released in the last century.
