Like people do at the Natural motion forums.

We could do it on any game that alot of people have and we could all come together online or we could make clips and contribute them to make one big video.

I have techno and rock music, FRAPS, and quite a few games. Although I can't record ingame sound for some reason. I can record sound over a mic though... I'll try to fix it.

Lol my pc reads the crysis discs but when its reading it, it sounds like a very ill hardrive

I could record from lots and lots of games, and get some of my buddys to help me over LAN. I can record with (registered!!) version of FRAPS in any resolution from 640x480 to 1680x1050. I could even record an original score for the whole movie.

Sorry i forgot about this thread guys, im made up with all the contributions and this should (eventually) come along nicely, we dont have to focus on one game it can be a variety of clips from a variety of games from a variety of genres with a variety of people, see the key word there? it was from j/k it was variety.

We could for example call it "Why physics games rock" and we could compile a heck load of videos showing really cool physics related stuff on each of the games.

A nice freeware solution is CamStudio (http://camstudio.org/). I had it on my computer a long time, but I never really tried it in a practical use (I only tested it by capturing 2 seconds clips of web browsing, stuff like that.) Seems pretty lightweight, though. Not sure how it'll stand in a 3D app, at least not in a full screen one.

That's nothing, I have a friend who's Xbox 360 has gone through 4 Oblivion discs (ONLY Oblivion discs, we have no idea why), he has to smash the top of the console with his fist for it to eject, and it makes a horrible scratching noise when he is playing games with it.

Yet, his previous 360 took almost 5 months to be repaired after he sent it to Microsoft, so he's not giving it it anyone as long as it still runs.

And yeah, try CamStudio in a game. Like I said, I'm not sure how well it'll work in a 3D environment, it should be tested. I would do it, but my computer is having issues at the moment.

POint it at a mirror pointing at the TV or I think there is something you can buy.

Tv card, quite hard to setup though and envolves a labyrinth of wires to get it to work and some programs aswell on your computer.

I can record anything with a registered version of FRAPS, I recorded Crysis on Very High on 800x600 and it was still very playable.

Alright here's the deal. What we could do is just, upload the videos to fileplanet/rapidshare/etc. and also maybe upload the song you would like to go along with your clip. So that way each different game we have, we have a different song. I was also thinking of something along the lines of starting off slow (in terms of action) and then move up. So maybe some calm physics games, and then your explosive TB replays.

I agree with you ed on the whole building up intensity thing. Anyone for ending with a crysis nuke? I know where to get a script so it effects all physical objects once detonated =]

Ok well, I have an idea. We have a clip playing with the song name in the bottom corner, then the name fades away into the recorder's name. Like I said earlier, send me the video's I can compile them together and upload them to both, youtube and stage6. Also like I said before maybe rapishare/filefront viedos/ song clip of what you want playing. I honestly can't satisfy everyone with my song selection.

Ok I would like to make a point that hardly anyone browses this section of the forums. So we should make an official topic in the main thread. Sticky it only for the time being and explain to the people that:

1. I will be compiling/uploading
2. Upload to Filefront or any other upload site a snippet of the song and the video.
3. And we should stimulate a date to which all videos posted will get in. I would suggest it be the first Friday in April. That gives me the weekend to work with it.
