Just downloaded B5 and it's awesome, it has a lot more stuff to play around with. They finally added a slicing tool, which I really wanted.

Phun is still free, it's Algadoo, an expansion to Phun which costs money.

And even if it wasn't, it's one of awesomest thing i've never seen. Did you see real work with it? Like the computer? The guy made a fucking complicated thing, where you could write stuffs, program AI...etc. Actually the guy that made it expect some reduced version to make some sort of chip for AI and stuff.

Phun used to be a project of Emil, as part of his master thesis. During the creation of the program, he already received support from Algoryx' know-how (AFAIK). After his thesis was completed, Algoryx contracted Emil to continue work on Phun.

They are not going to sell Phun, they are going to sell Algodoo. Algodoo is pretty much like Phun, only it has way more features than Phun, and, it's intended to be used by educational facilities like schools etc. It has lasers(light physics :D), and some other extra features that would make making things way more easier(you don't necessarily want to spend too much time just making an object out of a texture you know :P).

Phun is just intended for entertainment, a sort of past time, if you will. Now, you don't expect everybody to donate to Emil, so he has to have some sort of income from Algodoo.

I know all of this because I am an active member of the Phun community, and I made this :P

There is a MUCH better one, the 3d crash car was the highest rated scene in phunbox for a while.
