Not a lot of physics, I know. As a matter of fact it only has gravity.
But I still thought I should post it here.

Creators comment:
"Hi guys, here's a short game showcasing a concept the came to me a few weeks back. It's a puzzle platformer with a literal twist to the gameplay mechanics :D
Theres no proper way to describe it, so you'l just have to experience it for yourself.
There are a number of reasons I like this game, firstly its allowed me to pay tribute to Valve software's Portal in my own special way, and finally given me an excuse to get one of Dan Paladins jams into one of my games and have it fit perfectly :p
So please, enjoy, and if it's well recieved but people would like it longer, I'm always up for sequels :)"

Although a fun and unique game, this has almost no physics in it.

"Almost"? I didn't see any. Ah yes, there was that scripted gravity.

Otherwise I agree.

No physics (like everyone else said) but it was a decent game. This thread should be locked or deleted though because it has no physics in it.

Not worth mentioning but it was a cool game

A very cool game concept, but no physics.

I liked this game when it appeared on NG, but there really aren't any physics.
Although:
Isn't a forced interaction with the whole environment enough to be labeled 'physicish'? This game uses a unique way of representing the levels, so it could be in some way related to physics.

no, it couldn't...

Here's what I think. If the physics are inconspicuous (Spellcheck me) and we can't tell if there are any are not...it shouldn't be deemed a "Physics Game."
End boring thoughts. :D

Gravity can be seen as physics, right?
At least that's what I thought.

I thought it was quite an original game, with gravity.
That's why I posted it here. It is fun, and I can post it here because it has gravity.

I know that aren't much physics (if gravity can be seen as physics, according to you), but like I said: It's cool and I thought I should just post it anyway.

No.

Not last time I checked, no. Unless this new-fangled generation of kids can see gravity.

Here's an idea!

If you are to post a game here on funmotion, consider this.

IF PHYSICS ARE NECESSARY TO THE GAME TO WORK, OR DESERVES TO BE MENTIONED, POSTING IT IS ENTIRELY FINE.
IF PHYSICS ARE ONLY EYECANDY AND DO NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE GAME WHAT-SO-EVER, DON'T POST IT.

Argh, Physics. Stupid drunk me! :o

If they are original and fun, yes please! :)

I can!

Anyhoo, maybe we should stop flaming the guy. He already explained why he posted it here, so can we just let it drop? People make mistakes.

In any case, I thought the game was incredibly original, but I didn't really like it for some reason. I don't know why.

Probably the shitty music... And the lack of physics.

I am sorry I posted this, as a lot of you guys don't like it.
The only thing I still don't know: Is gravity a form of physics?

I agree with the creator's comments, this game is conceptually very similar to portal.
Though the only physics in this game is gravity, I do agree that it's incredibly original and fun to play.

Yes, it is. But that isn't an excuse to post a game here. Tetris has gravity, should I post it? Doom I & II has gravity, should I post them? Turok 2 has gravity, should I post it?

The answer is no. A game needs more than just the fundamentals of physics in it to really be labeled as a physics-based game. The physics have to be a central element to the gameplay. Not just ragdolls or animated water. It needs genuine physics that can affect the gameplay, and if the physics are taken out, then it won't be playable.

If you take the physics out of CoD4, could you still play it without ragdolls? Yes, of course. What if you took out the physics in the Powder Game? No, you couldn't play it because the game is based on the physics. However, in CoD4, you could play it without bodies falling realistically. Look at Wolfenstein 3D, it's completely playable without physics. But games like Crayon Physics or Gish aren't. They need physics in them to be played correctly, if at all.

Sorry for the rant/lesson. I'm just sick of these so called "physics games" like Halo and CoD being posted. Ok, so you can break a fence. Whoopdie-do. I want original games that use physics as part of their gameplay, not some effect added on to increase sales.

I understand what you mean, and I agree with you on most points.

But, this game isn't playable without physics, like a lot of other games.
The only things you can do to solve a level are jumping, falling, shifting and coming up with a good solution.

The thing is, this game is original and like I've said before I thought I should post it here.
Obviously I shouldn't have, because nearly the only thing I got was flaming.
