Ok, I started a game called Chained down. I asked my freind to help me. He'll make the art, Like uniforms, Weapons, Etc. I decided I would do the physics.
Story: A 21 year old named Zach Balmer was taken out of the army for not responding to leave his freind who was shot down out of the sky. He returned home only to find everything he loved-everything he cared for, gone. His parents were dead. His brother- Dead. Even his Girlfreind- Dead. He saw the guy who killed everyone rushing from the house with a bloody knife and a gun in his pocket. He was then determined to find the man and kill him. He found the mans drivers license, on it was his name - Max Ituru.
He then set out to find him, but he was one step ahead, he had already sent out henchmen to kill Zach. Zach uses his army skills to kill all the henchmen and get to Max.
Concept: SideScrolling shooter with ragdolls, object physics, suspension physics, and softbody deformation if you get shot or you shoot someone.
I'm gonna use a stick figure as the main character. I'll think about it.
When I finish atleast level 1 of the game I will post screenshots.

Softbody stick figures? That doesn't seem like it will work well.
In any case, the concept is solid and physics are good. If it's just stick figures, I might be able to help with the artwork, depending on your standards...

Well I'll ask my freind. I might change it to something else, but the character might look like altair from assasins creed a bit. Except with a black hood.
Ok, now I need a good free game making software besides gamemaker.

Edit: I think that thing jutting out of the bottom is a laser sight, I don't know. I used a photo for reference.

Nice gun, but my freind is helping me with that. :p

OK, here's what I think about the game so far.
-Story could use some more work, like why did Max kill all those people?
-The physics sounds great, hope you can make all of that work properly.
And do you have any other game-developing experience?

That single sentence made me lose whatever hope I had for this game. And I actually had a fair bit, since it was somehow imaginative, in comparison to all the other sidescrollers.
Prediction: Not going to happen.

You guys mind if I make a trailer out of pivot? Most people use different graphics in their Trailers. Such as in Trackmania.

That was Trackmania's orignal graphics plan though (I thought atleast)

Well, I might try to import the sticks from pivot into Gamemaker. (I decided I would use it, just forget about the soft body. :()

Sounds interesting, i suggest GMphysics DLL for the object physics but i dont think that it has soft body capabilities... P.S Hey Jokker, its me from toribash...

Eh, the only flaw I see with your idea is the gamemaker part. Do you have ful registered gamemaker? If not then this game will be:
1. Impossible to make
2. Will fail because of the limitations put on non-registered gamemaker.

Actually, the flaw I see, is the whole gamemaker part. Looking at the complexity of the idea and how gamemaker is, I doubt you would be able to pull it off.
EDIT: Note that I'm not saying Gamemaker is incapable of some very complicated and good games, but I meant that I highly doubt Okum is able to use Gamemaker to that extent, as it would require complicated coding and such.

This plus the below quote...

... Easily show what I'm thinking at the moment.
I have a suggestion for you. Find a proficient coder, and 'hire' him, and act as his assistant and designer, with the mention that you get to see him work and as such, can grasp his way of coding and learn.
Other than that, I'm fairly certain this is going to be vapourware.

Anyone here a good coder? :|
Also, I have enough money to buy gamemaker full. I'll do it. :D

I can program in C++, but I doubt I would be able to teach you how to program. The best resource is http://www.cprogramming.com/
So I might be able to provide assistance, but not a full part in the project.

Alright, when I get gamemaker I'll start and send you part of the project. I'll ask my freind from school to do the rest.

I can't totally tell if that's sarcasm. If it is, shame on you! GMPhysics is one of the best 2D physics engines to date! Kind of. Not really. It's pretty damn good, though.
Anyhoo, I might be able to help with some of the smaller stuff. LIke animations.

Ha, thanks. I might need some help on that.
