This is what I mean. A 3d, open view physics enviornment, with ability to spawn solid primitives like cubes, spheres and ragdolls, being able to ad a sping to something like suspension for a vehcile, and something pretty simple, Ive tried newton playground, and sythe. I need something like that.

:p
Other then that you could try Blender with bullet, or 3dsmax9 with reactor.

Does gmod require HL2? Because I'm not allowed to play it. Of course, my P.O.S. Mk. VIII probably couldn't run it anyway. Off Topic: Yay! my first post!

It requires one "source engin" game. You could have DoD which uses the source engin and is only rated Teen!:D
You have to have CS:S HL2:DM and HL2 to play Gmod9 if your not going to buy gmod 10 which only needs one.

I have Gmod 9, it's fun. You should get HL2, it's the greatest game ever made.

A good 2D one that fits your description is elastolab. As for a 3D one? What's wrong with newton playground?

Use Newtons Playground. Or if you really want to get serious, sign up for the Maya PLE (Personal Learning Edition). It takes a bit to get used to it, but is a true high level modeling environment. And so long as you don't try to publish anything, its free to use.

if your afrais of xyz, then pheraps you should stay away from 3d period. most 3d apps use xyz. but just remeber graphs at school then z is depth

I tried elastolab. For my opinion, it will gather dust on your desktop.

Some modelling applications will use the z axis as the y axis and the y axis as the z axis, so it actually can get pretty darn confusing even if you do know that z is supposed to be depth, especially when you're converting between two or three apps to get where you want :P

i found that elastolab was boring, but i think working model 2005 is a good simulator
