Deer Rutting [Idea]

Am I the only one who thinks you could make a brilliant game out of deer rutting.
You'd have a huge glen (the graphics would be great, with mist and the whatnot, physically modelled grass and rivers) you'd have a territory marked by a faint red line or whatever and you have to fight your neighbouring deer for a bigger territory and stuff. You'd have a time limit for the rutting season.

now, the rutting itself. Imagine Shanke, but with a lot better control, what controlled the lance now controls the head and therefore the antlers.

Original idea. Not many places come close to the Scottish Highlands for glorious scenery so stick with that for a venue.

On a separate note - I've seen an albino Stag a couple of times up here ... has to be seen to believed :)

i like the Deer idea. There would be cool with a rolplaying element too, like you can train your deer to get stronger, read books (maybe not) and mate with female deers to raise..erm.....hmm..Crap.

Maybe you should have a moose as a boss, just cuz they're so awesome. Also, the final boss should be the hunter. And after you killed him, you're allowed to go into his (physics-y) house and wreak havoc. :D

I've seen alot of wild animals, because dad's a hunter. But I've never actually shot a deer. But since i've been borrowing dads guns and shooting cans and stuff, i think i would be able to hit a deer.

One of my friends is leaving to go deer hunting up in northern Minnesota in about 25 minutes... yay deer!

Anyhoo, there should be some element of commanding other deer to do your evil bidding. And every once in a while you should be attacked by hunters or wolves or bobcats... you see where I'm going with that.

It should be the most realistic deer simulation... EVER.

I like the idea of random predators, it'll break up the gameplay rather than "find rival deer, rut, expand territory, repeat", the only problem is, there are no big predators in Scotland, where this game WILL be set. Also, I think there should be a nature program crew trying to film you and if you run at them they run away, leaving all their camera kit. This will be no PRACTICAL use, but it sure will be fun.

Id just like to ask if anyone thinks this would be possible? From the indie games that some people are making right now i believe that it should be possible...

Or has someone already started this type of thing? I remembered this thread when i saw the deer hunting thread and thought it was a repost...
