FUN-MOTION WIKI OPEN BETA
The idea behind this wiki was that here, on the forum, if your thread doesn't get posted in or stickied, it gets buried. Then a valuable game and the information associated with it become lost. Additionally, as I'm sure you all know, much of that valuable information in the threads that do stay popular are jammed in with other discussion. That's not a problem, as this is a forum, but for those wanting to find only information on games they are looking for, this could be an amazing feature.
Then there is also Matthew's blog, where he and the other reviewers post news, information, and reviews. Of course, this is safe from being polluted by other discussion and is just the pure information. But nobody can add worthwhile information to these posts, and it's not like we can all be reviewers. Additionally, a blog just isn't built to work that way.
Then comes the wiki. It would allow people to post nice, informational, small reviews about the game they want to post. People could add and contribute to that review every time something happens, like a new version of the game coming out, without cluttering up the info. Anyone who wants to could add info, and the other mods and I, due to the strict moderation policies of wikis, could make sure it's okay before it is added. At the same time, using a discussion section, the game could be discussed as in the forum.
So, what do you think? If you join I would expect you to:
Test for bugs
Give feedback on the system overall
Help write reviews and articlesAccess the wiki from here (http://fm.maltorgames.com/). (Woo Fan-Site homepage.)
A sample review is available here (http://fm.maltorgames.com/wiki/cortex_command), but that one is a lot longer than I intend the average review to be.
You can PM me, or you can email me (maltor124@gmail.com), to reply to this or to give feedback. You can also, of course, just post here.
