It seems like people have stopped reading the "read before post" thread before they post, which is obviously dead on wrong. It was a LONG time since I say a thread containing screenshots and an explanation longer that 2 sentences. Remember that the threads you make are supposed to be small reviews.

this is a great example of screenshots: http://fun-motion.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1117

And this is really good written: http://fun-motion.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1116

Kudos to those guys!

And finally, this is a great example, of a terrible thread: http://fun-motion.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1164

Sorry for that woot2134, but I believe you can do better...

I don't know about you guys, but I don't think it's hard to write one extra sentence or add a little picture, and it would make this forum more appealing.

I've one-starred the recent posts in "Suggest a Game", partly because the games aren't good physics examples and partly because the write-ups are not up to par.

Anyone who posts in "Suggest a Game" should think of their post as your one chance to sell someone on a cool game. If it's not a game you want to hear more about, don't suggest it. If you can't be bothered to put some effort into a well-written description, that will convey the message that it's not worth anyone's time to review it more closely.

Yet another post has been made. Good written, but no pics. He did post a link to a youtube video so I think it's ok :p

I agree, the less I see on the topic the less likely I am to play the game. I used to send PMs to people who didn't post a screen shot but now theres just to many who don't bother, plus we have our lovely moderators to annoy the people who don't read rules.

I've never even seen them post a varning... Well, I hope they better themselves on that point from now on

I'm going to necro this to make people/mods aware of that the quality of the topics in "suggest a game" section have not improved one bit. So I've decided to ask you all a question: If people never/rarely takes time to make their post like a mini review and add all the things stated they should contain, is the "suggest a game" really necessary, and does it serve and purpose?

I agree, useless posts are everywhere in there. It's getting out of hand in other places too.

Also, I lol'd at the burnout one:

"A guy just barely escaping death!!!"
"Apparently a guy just wiped some dudes out..."

sorry Colescheffler, It was funny though.

Nice that someone takes notice

And to all moderators: Shouldn't you send a pm or something to people to remind them if they post a false thread, and maybe even warn if they continue?

The mods are making a good job here but I've never seen them do anything to stop this :(

But PMs aren't something that you see, right? ;)

I've sent a couple PMs regarding junk on the Suggest a Game board. However, I won't make a big deal out of it if the game really doesn't need a review -- there's no point in making someone go through the effort to make a good thread for an obviously bad (esp. not physics-oriented) game, so I just one-star the thread and leave it at that.
