I made this new thread just incase anyone didn't see the demo link in the original thread.
Check out the new Demo (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TWA15GVJ)
New stuff:
Bullet time
Spawn stars and collect them (will make them savable and loadable soon)
Spawn Meteor Shower Trigger
Make sphere smoke
A little bit more has been added to the level, a kinda bedroom area for testing out the idea that treacle had.
Hope you like

Ok... the bedroom is great, the slow-mo thing is more like a kind of flying mode and its very hard to control it when u come out of it and its very hard to stop the ball when it going to fast towards a wall
But all in all i like it

I found that you can use the bullet time as a booster but yes you do take off. I was thinking about having a little meter at the side of the screen, and when u press it, it gradually gets less, but it fills back up after you let go. Kinda like a sprint button with stamina. If i lock the camera's pitch then i don't think people will be able to take off.
I also found that as long as your not going to fast when u come out of bullet mode it was easier to control. The other cool use was if i was about to fall off the edge of something i was able to prevent that happening and rectify the course i was taking.
With all that said, it's first impressions that counts and i take everything you have said into consideration. Got tons of tweaking to do so i'll keep what you have said in mind.
Peace out dudes

Ok i started working on the game interface, you can now collect stars and the counter at the side of the screen will go up 1 for each star you collect. If anyone here can help out with the graphics for such a thing i would be well chuffed. I'm gonna have a bash at this myself but i am not the best at 2D so i'll post what i have designed later and if anyone thinks they can do better then i would love to hear from you.
Going to add in the starting position and finish position also. Then hopefully make a few basic levels and get them cycling round (complete level, progress to next).
Apart from a star counter box, what other stuff should i add do you think? I'll add in a bullet time meter but i was wondering if there is some other stuff i should add? This might seem like a dumb question but i haven't been able to step back, take a look and figure these things out.
Ideas/suggestions welcome

As you can see looking pretty whack, but this is just something that can be evolved with your input. If anyone got any ideas on shape, size or anything for that matter i would be all ears. Post pictures if u like. I'm going to look at some other games for now to see if they can inspire me
peace out.

The demo was great fun, love the meteors.
Only suggestion is that meteors do not last for ever. Which is ok for people that are having performance issues but it would be a nice option.

I'll add in as much scalable options as possible. I was thinking of a way to make the meteors kinda home in on the player, but not to much :P
Is there any other cool contraptions anyone would like to see? I'm going to start creating the first 10 levels as soon as i get the Entry point and Exit point functions setup. Would be cool if someone could help me stylize things as the stuff i have done hasn't exactly got a specific style to it.

Couple of ideas;
Graphical Style: Sci-fi Style (Something like this (http://www.dexsoft-games.com/images/previews/scifi2/rr1.jpg))
Contraptions:
1) Catapult?
2) Destroyer Turret (shoots physics objects besides you, the turret can act like the turret already made but I will knock down walls and shoot away boxes, just an idea)
Triggers/Buttons:
1) Wall (spawn a wall of boxes where you are currently looking at)
2) Tornadoes
3) Tower (spawns a tower in front of you, this would be interesting because there are lots of designs of a tower)
4) Earthquakes?
If you want some more good ideas have a looks at these videos: here (http://www.youtube.com/user/motleymdg)
and here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z2A6qJyURY)
Hope this helps.

Hey thanks those videos were cool ^^, if i could make some levels like that, that would be sweet :P Problems is i don't have a proper level editor as such so it would be hard to setup each level. Once i made the first version tho i may make a level editor so the next game can have even better level designs ^^
And thanks for the ideas, catapult sounds cool as does the tornado and earthquake triggers :P
Would the game portals take this on their site once it's super polished? I'm not that bothered about making tons money although it would be nice to make some , this is the area i have the least experience in... How would you guys go about marketing your games? If anyone got any advice on this i would be chuffed.

I would probably set up some sort of secure blog for online purchases. http://www.wordpress.com is what Matthew is using for FM. Free version here (http://wordpress.com)
Another good idea for marketing would be to look at small games such as Switch Ball and Gish on there official website.
One more thing would be to make the website where you are going to sell this game look pretty, a plain website with a great game wont go the same. (rhyme?). Make sure there are multiple payment methods. On here all of the payments are verified by email individually (http://www.terathon.com/c4engine/licensing.php)
Hope this helps.
Edit: Just realized you already do have a Wordpress, sorry.

Got annoyed making the levels in a 3d modeler (boring, awkward and stupid?) so i decided to make my own level editor and it's nearly complete. It's a modular style editor with really easy placement of geometry. I'm now working on the gadget stuff. Wont be long before it's complete. Been using it to test out the geometry side of things in levels now doing the gadget placement, and loading inside the engine.
Will be cool when it's complete, i'll keep you posted.
p.s. There's a couple of pics on my worklog if you wanna see what it looks like.

If you want I could give you hundreds of textures, pity there in 1024x0124 pixels though.
Does Blit3d support bump mapping? Because if it does that could really add some polish to the game without going through doing a lot of different things.
As an idea, what about if you could add some buildings made of bricks into Sphere so that the sphere can knock them down. Not exactly the best idea but it would be cool.
Cant wait to have play in the map editor, it looks like its going to be great.

Yeah man cool, 1024x1024 are fine if it starts to take a toll i can always lower the res in photoshop. I will sort out the brick house for you :P Did you create the textures?
Yeah it does bump mapping, but i am unsure of how to do it exactly atm, but i know it's possible.
Blitz can go up to 2048x2048
