Got something to say to us about our policies, actions, or attitudes? Come here!

If you have any compliments, comments, or anger towards any of us mods, take it here so we can hope to be better moderators and hopefully live up to what you expect us to do. Please, PLEASE NOTE:

IF YOU HAVE A PERSONAL ISSUE WITH A MODERATOR ABOUT A SINGLE ACT OF MODERATION AGAINST YOURSELF, PM THE RESPECTIVE MODERATOR. DO NOT BRING IT HERE.

This thread is for issues that you think affect the forum as a whole, not you yourself. If it's a complaint, please be sure you have something to back it up with before going crazy on us. Additionally, flaming WILL NOT be tolerated. Follow Rule #3 and keep it civil, even if you are angry. Thanks, and we look forward to the constructive criticism and compliments.

Might I also add that your COMPLAINTS NEED TO HAVE SUBSTANCE TO THEM, WITH BASIS ON THE FORUM RULES. If you've gotten modded and HAVEN'T broken a rule, or if a moderator HAS broken a rule, then you can post here and we'll quickly see what we can do for you. Be sure to indicate the exact problem, don't be vague about it. If possible, show us the post/thread in question.

If you HAVE broken a rule, then your complaint will be ignored. So, it is crucial for you to have common sense when posting here, so neither party feels inconvenienced.

I personally think that the moderators do great jobs . Well i did get warned once for putting my font to large.....:o well I realy dont know whats wrong with it being big or long, if i made my own forum i wouldnt care for that rule :p , but all were here for is to discuss physics games and share them with eachother and have fun, without .......i guess..without making the formum messy

I don't understand how people could have something against you guys. You do your job and do it correctly(I wish I could say that about myself).

I was sent a warning for a weird reason IMO, but it's solved already.

So keep up the good work, mods :)

I don't think TGP does enough work. He's always occupied with Halo 3 and the Halo 3 forums. :/

What a lazy guy.

Lulz. But, seriously, this is the best forum (and the most un-spammed and the most interesting) I have ever visited.

As I have never even received an warning e-mail, I am pleased to conduct myself well here.

Keep up the good work....or we'll shoot you and eat your liver. XD

I don't have any problems with the mods. We needed them.

I have a couple problems with some of the rules, but nothing major.

I'm just used to posting in forums that don't have any official rules at all. Not even implied ones.

But I haven't gotten any warnings...so I suppose all is well.

And high fives all around.

I'd like to hear current opinions of the moderators, I really think this thread has been underused.

Fine and dandy, but why don't you delete posts that are useless, spam, or flames?

Maltor124
03-28-2008, 09:16 PM
We really do delete quite a few posts, but I admit there are a lot that I miss. Some I also like to keep to make a point or keep continuity in the discussion. Still others nearly everybody has everybody has made a comment on, and there is no point in deleting it so that people will wonder where it went, and instead just read it from the quotes.

That's the only thing I can think of. It also seems like you're the only mod that is even active anymore. :/

Yeah, what happened to Cyranix? He used to be quite active.

Still alive here.

I got a new job in a new city, which required a new apartment on rather short notice. Things have been hectic.

There have been many days lately where the quality/behavior exhibited here dismayed me greatly. Fear not! People will soon resume their complaints about me being too strict.

(For the record, as long as I have internet access, I make sure to check in at least once a day in case there's anything obviously, egregiously out of line.)

The only thing I can think of is that mods sometimes delete posts without saying anything. Not really a problem since it hardly happens. But when is do it would be nice if the mods pm'd the poster with an explenation :)

Personally, I think the mods are doing great--not sucking up, like I normally do.

Have you guys come to a conclusion on whether or not to lock old threads made before the "declaration"?

Locking old threads would be a waste of time since discussion has ended long ago in them.

If necro'd, then we'd have a reason to lock them.

Well, The...Far Cry 2 thread, for example. It was made before the statement, and it lives on. Yet, it isn't physics BASED.

The same applies for threads that were made before the statement that are still active. We're not going to stop an active discussion that's many pages long. Unless of course it was made after the policy. ;)
