Yes, yes, I know this has been suggested and everything already, don't flame me for that bit XP I was just wondering if it'd work if you had the board, but if you posted in it it didn't add to your post count, so that way we get the board, but won't get high post counts for posting physics irrelevant stuff. (I wouldn't know what you would need to do this, but I know it can be done, on a (now dead) boardI sed to go on if you posted in the 'Bob and George' (which was for general intelligent nonsense) Section of it it didn't add to your count.)

Post count isn't the problem.

This forum is about PHYSICS GAMES. Not about the offtopic board.

I mean, it's needed, but it's not what this forum's about. Go to another board for that. I mean, most of us are on DRLFF ( well...I'm not >_> ) so you could go post there. =\

XD I've got no frikkin clue what or where the forum is, but okay, I just thought Matt didn't want anyone getting really high post counts due to frequent posting in the general board for some reason, but okay. Now I just need someone to tell me what DRLFF is.

If you want an off-topic area so badly, use the chat that Maltor set up.

Chat =/= offtopic forum.
Yeah, chatrooms are fun and all, but can you have multiple topics? Can you have avatars? Can you look back on past topics?
No.
Plus, with a chatroom, we risk the chance of flooding. While a forum may be flooded, the flooding can be easily ignored.
All I'm saying is, every forum out there has an offtopic board. Why fun-motion is somehow different from them, I'll never understand.
Also, Cyranix, you are loosing reputation points faster than Hitler did with the jews.

Yeah, when you're chatting you can't be talking about two different things.

I noticed that. I got a warning :eyetwitch: for saying Ajjeko was some "fuck" from 4chan or the OIFY.. Cyranix must clearly not know what those horrible dark places on the internet are. I don't casually swear to an extreme extent (And I NEVER swear in real life). The word fit the case, he insulted us, and put up horrible shock pictures. Calling him a "fuck" (As in being "fucked up in the head"), was perfectly justifiable... I have never, I repeat, never ever gotten a "warning" on a board (And I go to a lot of them). I wasn't even breaking any board rules or TOS. :/

So because all other message boards are full of junk, this one has to be? That seems like odd reasoning. At any rate, your use of the word "fuck" has been restored to its original position. I have no problem with admitting a mistake, and I'm okay with letting that go. The "warning" that you're up in arms about is just a reminder to be careful with your language; it's not a permanent stain on your record.

If you have a problem with my decisions as a moderator, send a PM or create a separate topic. If you feel that perpetuating a slight against me in your signature is the most mature way to handle your feelings, so be it... but never let it be said that I haven't made myself available for discussion and compromise.

That said, this thread is about the suggestion for an off-topic board. Further posts not related to the thread's topic will be removed, as is SOP for all threads.

Actually, an offtopic board would keep the spam away from other boards AND people would stop complaining about the need for one.

Offtopic: Also, thanks for ignoring my perfectly logic explaination on how a chatroom would be better than a forum and PMing me about yourself, rather than the forum. Unwarrented sense of self importance for the lose.

And where, might I ask do you expect him to create this separate topic about you? You have nothing to do with physics games, therefore that section won't do; there's no general section, so obviously that doesn't work.. Site feedback doesn't fit because you aren't the site.. I don't know about you, but to me it seems you just shot yourself in the foot:

By stating that his post was generally offtopic for this thread and telling him the only justifiable means of expressing his ideas was to create another thread about it, when you are entirely against the idea of a general section is completely contradictory. Just make a generals section; it doesn't waste space, it doesn't junk-up the forums, all it will do is get people to stop complaining; thus making your "job" alot easier. It's just three clicks and fifteen key presses away; just do it.

You guys here are so tender with your silly little forums. It's not like you have a huge fanfare or anything; you have roughly 20 active members and a few immature moderators trying to take their roles too seriously, when in fact it doesn't even matter; wise up guys.

This is Matthew's community, and his decision. We're not admins, and it's not our say to create new forums. If Matthew ever decides it's time to create a General Board, then so be it. Until then, we're not getting one, so please everyone, stop complaining...

Additionally, considering this thread has mostly been petty arguing throughout its lifetime, locked.
