Yes! With this baby I can max out Half-Life 2 and even play Bioshock on medium settings (Medium high soon, because my dad said he would get a extra gig of RAM)!

Sorry to be negative but isn't a Pentium 4 a bit low end, you can buy a E6850 which is the best Core 2 Duo avalable for $260 AUSD. Plus it does not have dual CPU's, it has Dual Cores.

Dude. It's a Dell. The ram speed is clocked and so is the processor. In other words you may buy the best ram in the world and it will only run at the speed of the equivalent in Dell ram. So if you have 2 gb of ram with some super flashy ram, it will only run as fast as dell's 2 gb of ram. Still, it is a nice computer.

Once my brother sends me my new Vid-card I should be able to run Bioshock by minimum settings.

This is about the last upgrade I can get with this comp. After this card, I'm going to have to save up money for a new rig.

Maybe I have better ram. I can Max out everything on Half-Life 2 and it never goes down below 30fps. (If I want a steady 60 I'll have to turn down the Anti-aliasing and Anisotropic filtering settings a bit. And switch reflect all to reflect world.

The computer I'm usually on is a Sony. I think its about 5 years old. Its still pretty good. The RAM is okay. I forget how much. The hard drive is great. 3 drives. C has 15.9 GB. D has 39.9 GB. And finally, H has 189 GB. Graphics card is a GeForce 6200. Windows XP.

Then we got a new computer this year. I think its the same graphics card. 4 Gigs of RAM. Only a 40 something gig hard drive. Same operating system. Its a Dell. Its great for games, but has some weird problems. Lets say you put a game in, and now you want to get it out. To do this you have to log off then log back on. And only then can you take the game out. Another thing is if it goes to stand bye mode, and theres no screensaver, you have to restart the computer to get it back on. Other then those annoying problems, it runs really well. Half life 2 runs well on it. I do medium graphics settings because I'd rather have it run really fast then be better graphics. I think its a duel core. I'm not sure.

I had a really old computer that I wanted to run windows 98 on. About a day after we set Windows 98 up, the hard drive fried. That one was like 10 years old I think.

Start, Right click my computer (Computer for vista users) and click properties.

It cost 4 grand to build, and that was easily money well spent for what I use it for.

I built my previous computer by hand and BIOS got really old to deal with really fast, so this time- since I wanted alot more in the computer, I decided to go with a good PC building company. I originally went with Velocity micro, but the computer came and did not boot, so I ditched them and went with Digital Storm. There were a few misunderstandings, but overall that's the best PC builder I could ever recommend.

Supposedly RAID1 with vista is ridiculous to setup correctly, and yet they have it setup on my compy perfectly.

I find it absolutely amazing that I was able to build my computer in under fourthousand, when 15 years ago it cost over 2 thousand for a hard disc drive half the size of one of mine.

And you, whoever you were, up there who was saying that dell ram> all; you are entirely incorrect. Dell ram usually has a fairly high clock speed, but there is faster, much faster.

I would definitely say though that my computer is more than worth the price to me. It has sped up my development 80x. Maps that used to compile overnight or in a matter of 5 ish hours now compile in just a few small minutes- saving me alot of time when trying to perfect lighting especially.

Also, seeing how incredibly easy this computer can handle Bioshock, and looking at how the Crysis Ultra settings are way below my own specs, I can expect to get the same performance maxxed out on Crysis, which makes me giddy- that's the other reason I built my compy the way I did. (God I can wait to start making levels, mods, etc for Crysis.:cool:

Relys, can I have your old computer? I'm still stuck with 512 mb of RAM, a 2.8 ghz processor, and an integrated Intel 82865g chipset that has no shader support :( and I'm an extreme gamer. I can't live with this. There are $500 computers over 9 times better than my PC.

That is actually really cool how the company you purchased your computer from setup everything perfectly especially considering how much your pc probably has to it.
